ihateyearbook: Here is a review of our show last Thursday with The Xcerts from www.alreadyheard.com; “After the excitement of Saul Goodman, Yearbook has a tough act to follow. They manage to follow it in particularly stunning fashion however. They have a sound that takes the self-deprecation of Los Campesinos, the maddening poetic style of La Dispute and the raw hardcore power of At The Drive In and creates something quite beautifully messy. I’m not sure how these guys sound on record, but they are mind blowing live. Complex, twiddling guitar melodies scratch against a rough and ready hardcore sound and punk style Gallows-esque riffs punctuate the songs. There is a stunning dichotomy between the softer and harder moments that sounds brilliant live, especially during songs like ‘Everything I Own.’” Check out some wicked photos of us and our good mates in The Xcerts here.

ihateyearbook: It has come to the end of our festival season and it is a sad time for all four of us and probably our small crew as well. We want to say a massive thank you for everything that Thomas Clements, Taylor Baron and of course Alan Clarkson have done for us this summer. Everything from setting gear up, driving, filming to generally being sweet dudes. If you don’t know who they are, you should. We also want to say a huge thank you to the organisers of Guilfest, Redfest, Burn Out Fest and Y Not Festival. We had a ridiculous month of show’s and festival sets and hopefully you got to catch one of them. To everyone that came out to any of the shows it means a lot to us and we hope you had a good time, maybe we will see you again soon. In the mean time, keep spreading the Yearbook word and get your mates to download the songs, burn CD’s or trade mp3s. Peas out, Yearbook.

This Sunday, the 15th of July we’re playing Guilfest! It’s our first proper festival and we are so excited. We are on The Surrey Advertiser stage at 20.30.
